Several Lady Tigers will compete in the OHSAA Division III Regional meet next week in Massillon. On Wednesday, the 4 x 800 meter relay team of Baylee Wach, Kamdyn Elerick, Cali Weber and Abbie Brown will race for a change to qualify for the State meet. The 4 x 8 earned a 2nd place finish in the District. Also competing on Wednesday, the 4 x 400 meter relay team of Baylee Wach, Mattie Reiman, Cali Weber, and Kamdyn Elerick will race in the semis of the event.The top 8 will compete again on Friday. The 4 x 400 team finished the District finals 11 seconds faster than they did on Tuesday for the semis. Kaylee Savage threw her way to a 3rd place finish in the discus with a throw of 109-10 and will compete on Friday in Massillon.
Adding to the District scoring, seniors Morgan VanNest finished 6th and Macy Coffland finished 7th in the 100 meter hurdles.The 4 x 200 meter relay team of Baylee Wach, Mattie Reiman, Cali Weber, and Kamdyn Elerick finished 6th. Abbie Brown finished 7th in the 1600 meter run. Kamdyn Elerick and Cali Weber finshed 7th and 8th in the 200 meter dash.In the field events, Jillian Joseph finished in 7th place in both the high and long jumps. Kaylee Savage finished 5th in the shot put with a personal best of 31-3. Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Tigers was Gianna DeFelice who finished 9th in the pole vault.
